13 I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.
Sometimes Christianity is seen as being all about where we go when we die. This psalm confronts this, our faith is not just about a God who works in the future, but a God who works in the hear and now. Look out for God’s activity, you will see it. Verse 14 reminds us that we may have to be patient, God doesn’t work at our command or according to our expectations, but his promise is certain.
Lord, open my eyes to see you at work all around me.
