A date for your diaries – Sunday Oct. 23rd, Bill will be sharing his experiences in South Africa as part of our morning service

John 3:16 (NIV)
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Why did God the Father send his Son? The simple answer is that he sent his Son to rescue us from death and bring us life. There any many aspects to this – it’s not just about forgiveness, although that’s certainly a major part of it. Perhaps another aspect is that Jesus came to show us what it means to have a relationship with God the Father, what it means to be his children. The relationship God wants with us is the same as the one that he had with him.

What was Jesus’ relationship with God like? Spirit, help us to learn today what it means to be God’s children!
