1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIVUK)
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
On Sunday morning, Grant started the year for us with this simple but profound verse. Our life should be a life of celebration. Why? Not because everything is good or perfect, because it’s not, but because of what Christ has done for us, is doing for us and will do for us. Through his becoming one of us, entering our human life with its high points and low points, he has and is achieving for us salvation. That is a cause for joy, even when life is tough.
Take a moment to make a list of the things you have to be thankful for – and then give thanks both now and throughout the day for what God has done for you!
