James 1:2-5 NIV
[2] Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, [3] because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. [4] Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. [5] If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

O dear…….is James saying that those tough times we might be going through today should be considered “pure joy?”  That the person we struggle to work with is a means of blessing? Or the illness that stops us doing  things can be a vehicle for God to bring us to maturity and fruitfulness? James takes the long view and encourages to know that God is with us and has a great purpose for us even through tough times and if we can’t see that then ask God and he will show us!

Today can be touched with glory and wisdom!

Lord open my heart to see you at work in every circumstance today and let me know your wisdom and presence even in the tough times.
