Isaiah 53:1-12 NIV
[1] Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? [2] He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.

Jesus was not like a modern day celebrity, obsessed with image and popularity – he had no beauty or majesty but went among the poor, the dispossessed, the lonely and the desperate to bring living water in dry places, light in the darkness, hope into despair, life in all its fullness.
He still does!

Psalm 27:4 NIV
[4] One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.
