Luke 13:20-21
20 Again he asked, ‘What shall I compare the kingdom of God to? 21 It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about thirty kilograms of flour until it worked all through the dough.’

Yesterday’s parable was about God taking small things and using them for dramatic effect. Kingdom work is not always so visible, however, sometimes like this yeast it is hidden away working subversively out of the public eye. Take the Election coming up in May for example, if we as Christians vote prayerfully, then through our prayers and engagement in politics public life is changed and shaped, even though others might be unaware of this. I wonder how your life today might make a difference to others even if they are unaware of it at work, at school, with your family and friends?

Lord, may all my actions, visible and discrete, make a positive difference today.
