Psalm 5:3
In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
    in the morning I lay my requests before you
    and wait expectantly.

Do we treat God as a theory or a nice thought or do we actually expect him to listen to our prayers or act in our lives? When we pray do we pray as if we believe he is listening and belief he’ll respond? When we go to church do we expect to meet him there? Perhaps most importantly, do we expect God to be at work and want us to work with him, in our daily lives, in our frontlines? It is too easy to go through the motions – but if we are willing to expect and actively look out for God to be at work around us, then we might be surprised by what we discover!

Lord, give me the faith today to expect you to be at work today, and the eyes to see what it is you’re doing.
