Reading: Psalm 18:3
I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies. [4] The cords of death entangled me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me. [5] The cords of the grave coiled around me; the snares of death confronted me. [6] In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.

Thought: Here is a great testimony! David knew what it meant to be in danger and overwhelmed by his enemies but he also knew that the Lord, his fortress and deliverer could save him. It’s a good thing to share with each other our experiences of God – it encourages everyone to hear how God is at work!

Prayer: You heard David’s cry Lord and you hear ours today – help us to look to you today.
