Do good instead of evil and try to live at peace. Psalm 34.14

“I know my rights!” the man shouted in anger; it had to be his way. He forgot his responsibilities; everything had to be his way. We have seen people like this; the angry man or woman in the street or in the shops. They may even be shouting us. How do we respond? The Bible encourages us to do good, and not get involved in an argument. It does not mean that we are doormats. Remember that.

“A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare.” Lord help us to take the path of peace, and follow you, but help us not just choose a quiet life at any cost, that is not following you. Give us the wisdom we need, today and always. Amen.
