Reading: Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.

Thought: There’s a paradox here, how can you gaze on someone and seek them at the same time?! Clearly you can’t, but these two things are an expression of the same thing, love. The Lover longs to gaze upon his Beloved and if they’re not present is restless until they are found. Isn’t it the same with us and God?

Prayer: Lord, I long to be with you.
