Reading: Colossians 4:3 NIV
And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.

Thought: I love mysteries. There is no better hook in a film or book than a secret or inexplicable event. But what is this mystery that Paul talks about? Is it the answer to the question long pondered by the Jews of who the Messiah is? Or is it the mystery of Jesus’ identity? Perhaps it’s even bigger, the great mystery of whether or not there a god and what he’s like if he does exist? Does he notice us at all, let alone love us? In Jesus, the answer Paul wants to proclaim is a resounding YES!

Prayer: Thank you Father that in the giving of your Son the mystery of you is revealed!
